I see the end coming for all content distribution on optical media.  It's going to take time, but it will happen.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Digital distribution is great for consumers and media companies alike.  Consumers get instant access to a variety of content and the companies can control it better than physical media.  A win win...well...a win for consumers so long as things don't become too restrictive.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Glad to see another blogger share my opinion.  Check out my take on it if you get a chance. Going from VHS to DVD, from audio tapes and LPs to CDs made sense because of the dramtic difference in visual and audio quality.
