Great list... I don't know if you should include Goolge Desktop and Beagle in the same list, you should pick one or the other!

You are probably right, I just thought that some might appreciate the more 'graphical' nature of Beagle. Google Desktop definitely does a better job of search (especially within files).

These applications are all really helpful, and make using Ubuntu really easy. One of my favorite applications not included is SSHMenu, which allows you to connect to remote servers really easily. This is much easier than having to remember all of the syntax.
